Come prepared “to get your hands dirty” and take part in the design of your VPP Certifications Strategy.

Too many VPP initiatives have failed because of the daunting task of identifying and managing the many concurrent facets of the process in preparation for your on site VPP audit.

This workshop will cover many additional and important issues not covered in the usual OSHA VPP Application Workshop. Michael Topf will facilitate along with Paul Snyder, Topf Initiatives’ Director of VPP Services, and a 20 year veteran of OSHA and Safety Management as well as many successful VPP STAR Certifications for Rohm & Hass.

Why “reinvent the wheel”? Let Paul lead you through this one day workshop designed to assist you in avoiding the pitfalls that have caused so many VPP Initiatives to derail.

This hands-on workshop is designed for each participant to leave with a top level design of an effective strategy for achieving STAR status. Each person will leave with a clear, written plan for starting, managing and tracking their process for success. Planning will include:

· A review of the VPP requirements and the benefits of the STAR program

· Learn how not to waste your time and money in the process

· Selling the VPP Certification process to both Management and Labor Leadership

· Using the VPP Process to enhance culture change and behavioral improvement

· The importance of the “Culture Assessment” and the “Change Process” to assure buy-in and success

· Site and Employee Assessment Documents

· Employee Interview Questionnaires

· A “Gap Analysis” and an Action Plan to close the gaps

· Required Management and Employee Training Agendas

· Increasing opportunities for employee involvement for better buy-in and success

· An overview of how to streamline the VPP Application Process

· An estimation of the long term investment required as well as how to maximize your Return on that Investment.

· Starting the initial Site Assessment for your Facility

· Why some sites fail to keep STAR Certification

Please plan to attend and start your organization on the streamlined highway to the prestigious STAR status.
