...the next level of

Safety Performance

A TOPF INITIATIVES SEMINAR PRESENTATION

This 2 day series is designed to help you improve your ability to lead, manage, and support your co-workers at all levels for appropriate safety attitudes and behaviors in order to achieve the next level of excellence. When we speak of safety, we include our health and protection of the environment as well.

Topf Initiatives Leadership for Safety training is unique and different from most leadership training programs. Our program focuses on assisting managers, supervisors and labor/line leaders in identifying what causes them to resist their responsibility to lead people, and coach and counsel them regarding safety issues and behaviors; and then inspires them to shift their thinking and change their own behaviors to more effectively carry out their role as safety leaders. We provide practical leadership, management, communication, and behavior change skills that are essential to creating a team where all levels of employees participate actively and gain a sense of ownership in their safety improvement process.

The program will:

· Affirm what you already know and what you currently do effectively regarding safety issues.

· Assist you to assess your own performance, behaviors, ingrained beliefs and effectiveness regarding addressing safety issues.

· Provide you and other safety leaders with a practical knowledge of key leadership skills, techniques and behaviors to assist you in creating a team of employees who take personal responsibility and ownership for their own safety as well as the safety of others.

· Enhance your ability to lead and support your coworkers in appropriate attitudes and behaviors toward safety, health and the environment.

· Prevent accidents, injuries, health and environmental incidents from occurring both on and off the job.

Leadership for Safety is an experiential based learning process, combining lecture materials, individual and group exercises, and discussions of insights. This program is designed to address both personal and organizational issues that will provide opportunities for growth and development.
